From 6 December 2018, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, introduced their transparency rules which means that solicitors must display prices and service information they publish in relation to the following areas of work:
- Conveyancing (residential)
- Probate (uncontested)
- Motoring Offences (summary offences) (not carried out by BBE)
- Immigration (excluding asylum) (not carried out by BBE)
- Employment tribunal (unfair/wrongful dismissal)
- Debt recovery (up to £100,000)
- Licensing applications (business premises) (not carried out by BBE)
The aim of the new transparency rules is to make sure you have the information you need to make an informed choice of legal services provider, including what the costs may be
